West Chester Still Undefeated With Win Over Shepherd

WILMINGTON, Del. – West Chester volleyball remained undefeated, running its record to 6-0, Friday evening with a pair of three-game sweeps over both LeMoyne and Shepherd at the Wilmington Tournament.

Lisa Yeasted, who recorded 40 assists in the opener against LeMoyne, collected another 30 against Shepherd to go along with 14 digs. The junior setter continues to close in on the school’s all-time assist mark in helping the Golden Rams walk over its opponents so far this fall.

Yeasted led the way with her stellar effort. Decker chipped in a team-high 22 kills and 13 digs. Zech registered another 12 digs while freshman Michelle Powers posted six kills.

West Chester finishes up the Wilmington Tournament Saturday afternoon with its first match opposite Dowling, who also won both of its matches Friday. That encounter will most likely determine the champion of the weekend tournament. The Golden Rams then close out the round-robin tournament against PSAC West foe Edinboro.
